Sunday, 26th March
Arrival of delegations (legation at school in Braunschweig
Monday, 27th March
Delegations arrive at school; getting to know each other; ice-breaking activities and games, German kids guide and explain school grounds to guests; social acitivities (football, handball, table tennis); presentations of templates for brochure.
Departure for Bremerhaven (visit of Climate house in Bremerhaven); overnight event in Climate House (the climate house (www.klimahaus-bremerhaven.de) is a museum that includes, amongst other activity zones, an exhibition that guides the visitors around the world along 8th degree longitude to give an impression of how to live and survive in different climate zones as well as getting an impression what problems climate changes have brought about in different climate zones); all participants did a rallye through the exhibition to create an awareness of phenomena of climate and climate changes; the parties slept in different sections of the exhibition during the night.
Tuesday, 28th March
Breakfast at Climate House and departure for Braunschweig. Departure and arrival in Braunschweig, last presentation of templates; international group work on cover and blurb for brochure (for International Environmental Day, June 5th 2017).
Wednesday, 29th March
International group work finishing cover/blurb for our brochure; presentation and explanation of all group products, common decision for best poster. Instruction for art session “graffiti” (creating a graffiti on the topic of “climate change”) and producing the graffiti on provided wall at school.
Thursday, 30th March
Meeting at school and departure for the visit of Palaeon museum in Schoeningen; guided tour through exhibition (how did people live and survive in the times of the old stone age?); workshop on topic “waste”; javelin / spear throwing (outside fun activity to create awareness of how hard hunting with a spear must have been in the old stone age); bus trip back to school.
Friday, 31st March
Common meeting point in city centre; groups for city rallye are formed and the groups receive instructions for the rallye tasks with a cultural sight on the hosting city. Return to school and participation to a final conference.
Farewell party (for students, parents and teachers) including some music performances, food and soft drinks and a disco.
Saturday, 1st April
Departiure of delegations
All the activities presented had been selected in order to deepen the students knowledge of the topic of climate changes. Artistic works have been thought with a view to involve students and teachers into the matter and have everyone consider the topic from a creative and personal perpective. The organisation of international group has given students and teachers the opportunity to compare points of view and geographical matters concerning climate changes, having them to get better relationships between them.
